Financial Accounting Manager - New Automotive Plant
(Bangkok)
Responsibilities:

  • Financial and Accounting:
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function within the company
  • Ensure monthly financial statements are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements with respect to business set-up, taxation and corporate governance, including:
  • Coordinate with External Auditor for interim and year-end audit
  • Coordinate with tax agents on tax submission
  • Ensure that the financial accounts are in compliance with VAS as well as the Accounting standard
  • Ensure corporate governance issues are handled in compliance with local regulation and group requirement
  • Ensure compliance with group guidelines and requirements
  • Ensure group reports are submitted on time
  • Coordinate with internal auditor on enhancing internal controls
  • Ensure that the company’s business operate within group guidelines
  • Implement proper credit management procedures to ensure accounts receivables are managed within group target
  • Cash flow management
  • Monitor cash flow and credit facility utilization
  • Coordinate with bankers for payment/transfer arrangement
  • Coordinate with treasury in relation to banking matters
  • Implemented processes within the organization to ensure proper internal control
  • Ensure cost control on operating expenses and investment to match company development and budget.
  • Custody of assets by establishing internal controls based on risk assessment and Cost/benefit analysis

Controlling and Reporting:
  • Ensure group reports are prepared within the stated deadlines
  • Compile internal management reports
  • Analyze of monthly financial results: Budget vs. Actual
  • Monitor key financial indicators and highlight major deviation to the management
  • Work with management to implement measures to reach the targeted KPI
  • Provide scenario analysis to support management decision making process
  • Prepare budget and forecast

Costing:
  • Ensure monthly Plant Cost Report is prepared, analyzed and reviewed with management
  • Analyze material cost and process cost
  • Suggestions for cost improvements
  • To perform advanced cost-accounting work covering material and production costs, costs of sales, research and product development, etc
  • To compare actual costs to budget and analyze variances
  • To develop standard cost data (Group Production Cost) and accurate inventory valuations

People Management:
  • To delegate responsibilities effectively (means transferring the authority to perform all relevant tasks)
  • To lead direct report staff to ensure that they are motivated, trained and capable of discharging their duties effectively and efficiently
  • Develop direct report staff in their career path

Requirements:
  • Bachelor / Master degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8-10 year up proven management experience in Financial / Accounting / Costing / Taxation and Plant controlling with minimum 5 years related experience in financial perspective. (Experience as first pioneer team would be advantage)
  • Proven experience in ensuring that all finance and controlling related matters within are handling in an appropriate manner and within the required timeframe
  • Proven experience to support management partner in ensuring that the business operation and related key financial data are in line with targets
  • Strong hands-on and set up skills for new established plant, analytical & costing skills for production activities
  • Very good command in English skills
  • Experience in SAP usage
  • CPA is a plus
