HLYM's humble beginnings started in 1978, when Hong Leong Industries Bhd and Yamaha Motor Co Ltd of Japan signed the franchise agreement to venture into manufacturing, assembling and marketing of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia.

Business Development Manager
(Selangor - Sungai Buloh)
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business direction, strategies and business plan to expand company's growth.
- Conduct market study and analysis to identify high potential product/market requirements/business growth areas which could complement company capabilities.
- Responsible for interacting and networking with key stake holders such as relevant government agencies and trade associations in the process of nurturing new business relationship.
- Provide marketing and sales advice/information to management team to facilitate new business opportunity review and evaluation.
- To identify potential strategic business partner for possible business joint venture.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree in any discipline.
- 3 to 5 years related working experience in business development, sales or marketing, preferably in automotive industry.
- Entrepreneurial, confidence and easy to deal with people.
- Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and negotiation skills.
- Willing to travel and meet with people.
- Proficiency in Chinese language will be an added advantage.
