Continental is now setting up a new high-tech manufacturing plant in Thailand to manufacture Diesel Common Rail Systems. Base in Amata City Rayong.

URGENTLY REQUIRED !!!
Process Engineer
(Assembly Injector)
(Rayong)

Responsibilities:

  • Process owner for assembly operations. Optimize OEE and supporting metrics. Primary function in support of serial production: quantity, quality, cost.
  • Lead and assist in machine design, procurement and qualification.
  • Participate in process installation, industrialization, and improvement.
  • Provide daily and ongoing training and support for shop floor personnel for serial production and for new projects.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve data collection for key process indicators, including OEE, FPY, downtime, preventive maintenance.
  • Work with OEM and internal support groups to determine improvement opportunities for cycle time, costs of production, raw material / tooling consumption, manpower requirements, quality output
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including control plans, PFMEA, preventive maintenance plans, setup sheets, etc.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum one year experience in high volume assembly operations required. Must include mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical experience. Software/PLC and hydraulic experience in addition is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in qualification of new project / equipment / processes is preferred, but not required. Experience in quality control, quality assurance, project management, or supplier quality is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be willing to travel on short international business trips as needed.
  • Must understand PFMEA, control plans, SPC charts.
  • Must be able to understand component and assembly drawings with standard geometric tolerance.
  • Must be able to understand electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings or equipment diagrams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Must speak fluent Thai and conversational English.
  • Prefer experience in PPAP, APQP, and change management.
  • Prefer experience with screwing, pressing, leak testing, laser welding, crimping, and similar processes.
  • Prefer experience with statistical evaluation tools, like Stat Graphics or Minitab.
  • Must have experience with high precision calibration, measurement, and evaluation of test equipment.
  • MS-Office incl. MS Project, Minitab or comparable statistic programs.
  • Good ability in analyzing and problem solving; networking and communication skills
  • Strong capabilities in organizing-, quality- and result Orientation with a customer focus
  • Working experience in an international company for some years – preferably.
  • Knowledge in QS9000/TS16949 preferable.
